Why it works in the classroom
Most wellbeing lessons tell teenagers what not to do. Superheroes of Behaviours flips it — it names the good, and turns each strength into a hero worth becoming. Students stop feeling like the problem and start seeing themselves as the hero. That single shift is why this lands where worksheets don't. And every story has a villain — the Shadow Critic of self-doubt — giving students a shared language for naming, questioning, and rising above negative self-talk.
How a lesson runs
Each hero page is a self-contained lesson you can teach in one period:
1. Read or play the story — read aloud, or press “Listen to this story” for narrated audio (and the story film, once added).
2. Discuss — guided questions open honest, safe conversation.
3. Activity — a low-prep task that puts the behaviour into practice.
4. Reflect — a journal or exit-ticket prompt.
5. Assess — a simple rubric captures growth for reporting.
Mix and match to suit your class — there is a full term of material here.
